Description

For yoga to be really helpful it’s important that the physical aspect of it serves us well. This means our practice should help us carry out the sort of activities we meet in daily life, this is much more important that being able to conform to some sort of postural shape. Our practice should help us with movements like turning, reaching up, bending forward, getting up and down off the floor, sitting and balance. If we are to age well we need to repeat these simple actions fairly regularly and not let them slip away from our movement repertoire. Yoga has a wide range of such movements and we can choose those that suit our anatomy most comfortably.
